Susanne Hibler is a licensed pharmacist in Germany since 2008 and started a PhD in the Freeze Drying Focus Group (group Dr. H. Gieseler) in the same year. Her major research interest is the evaluation of the heat transfer characteristics of different vial systems for pharmaceutical freeze-drying. She analyzes the influence of evaluation methodology as well as vial design on heat transfer and investigates the actual impact of different vial heat transfer coefficients on primary drying time.
