Bio-Cool Controlled Rate Freezer

The Bio-Cool Controlled Rate Freezers are mechanically refrigerated 1.5 liter liquid baths with temperatures of -40C or  -80C. The magnetic stirrer and vortex breaker design help ensure isothermal conditions in this bath throughout its temperature range. 

Utilizing a liquid medium, the Bio-Cool handles heat loads substantially larger than its liquid nitrogen counterparts and does not utilize expendable refrigerant. All that is needed is a small dewar of liquid nitrogen for tissue crystallization and for ultimate storage. 

The BCIII, -80C controlled rate freezer,  is available with an 8 segment controller and optional RS232. The BCIV, -40C controlled rate freezer, is available with a single segment controller. A selection of container holder racks is available
.
